Hi, I’m ReGina Welling, a writer from central Maine, also known as the boonies.
My hobbies include reading, kayaking, camping, puzzles, and visual arts.
Writing together with my daughter has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Together, we have written four cozy mystery series and even when we’re not writing together, we serve as each other’s critique partners, first readers, and cheerleaders.
After kicking around severals states from Maine to Virginia to New York, I’m back in Maine where I invent small towns (and yes, they are somewhat based on real ones) with a lot of fun and quirky characters (who are not based on my family and friends despite what they think).
Maine is a beautiful state, and some of my favorite views are those I see from the front of my kayak whenever I can get out on the water, which is my happy place.
Besides my amazing husband who owns Burnt Wood Workshop (see his videos here) I share my house with two spoiled furballs.
Dash, the dog, is a German Spitz which is basically a larger scale Pomeranian, who prances his floofy butt around the house.
Cricket is a honey badger disguised as a cat. She owns the dog, and lets him know that every chance she gets.
