When a strangers show up for an event in Mooselick River, so does trouble.

Two men and a woman check into the Marlow Inn to attend the rundraiser for the town library, but only one checks out—and Everly Dupree is once again caught in the middle of a mystery that refuses to stay neatly on the page.

Between making sure the event goes off without a hitch and a visit from her favorite cousin, Nell Pemberton, Everly has her hands full, but nothing is ever easy in Mooselick River.

Before the event is over, the first of two bodies are on the ground, and Everly will need all of her wits (and maybe a little help from the other side) to keep the past from rewriting their future.
